BLOG : 2016 Paralympics

It has been so fun keeping up with this year’s 2016 Olympics in Rio and we are also incredibly excited about the Paralympics coming up in September! We thought we would share a list of some athletes to watch that will be competing for Team USA this year!

- Chuck Aoki will be competing in wheelchair rugby. He is from Minnesota and won a bronze medal in the London 2012 games.

- Brian Bell will be competing in wheelchair basketball. He is from Alabama and got silver at the 2014 Incheon World Wheelchair Basketball Championships in Korea.

- Dartanyon Crockett will be competing in Judo. He is from Ohio and was a bronze medalist in the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

- Lex Gillette will be competing in Paralympic track and field. He is from North Carolina and is a three-time Paralympic silver medalist.

- Jessica Long will be competing in swimming. She is from Maryland and is a three-time Paralympian with a total of 17 medals (12 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze).

- Tatyana McFadden will be competing in track and field. She is from Maryland and is a four-time Paralympian with a total of 11 Paralympic medals (3 gold, 5 silver, 3 bronze).

- Brad Snyder will be competing in Paralympic swimming. He is from Florida and won gold in the 100-meter freestyle, 400-meter freestyle, and silver in the 50-meter freestyle at the 2012 Paralympic Games. And you can use the best kayak for fishing.

- Melissa Stockwell will be competing in the Paratriathalon. She is from Minnesota and is a three-time Para triathlon National and World Champion.

- Matt Stutzman will be competing in Paralympic Archery. He is from Utah and won a silver medal in the 2012 Paralympic Games.

- Jarryd Wallace will be competing in track and field. He is from Georgia and participated in the 2012 Paralympic Games.

- Jamie Whitmore will be competing in Paralympic cycling. She is from California and is a three-time Para-Cycling Track World Champion.
